Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a form of arthritis that is known to affect some people who have psoriasis: a disease with red patches of the skin topped with silvery scales. Today, there are several treatment options or cure for psoriatic arthritis. An appropriate treatment plan often includes: Therapy (physical, occupational, massage), Patient education, Exercise & Rest, Devices to protect joints, Medicine (NSAIDs, Methotrexate, Injectable biologics), and Surgery. Treatment of PsA is aimed at controlling the signs/symptoms and preventing joint damage. Without appropriate treatment, PsA can be disabling.
