Stelara is derived to treat adult patients aged 18 years and older with moderately to severely active Crohn’s disease and moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. The stelara injection is also prescribed for the treatment of patients with moderate to severe psoriasis and active psoriatic arthritis. Stelara contains Ustekinumab as an active pharmaceutical ingredient. It is a type of drug called a biologic. Stelara may be used alone or along with methotrexate.
