Eltrombopag 25 mg Tablet is approved to treat patients with decreased platelet count due to chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) or chronic hepatitis C virus infection. The eltrombopag 25 mg is also recommended to treat patients with severe aplastic anemia. It is recommended to take this medication on an empty stomach. Eltrombopag pills are to be swallowed whole. Avoid chewing, crushing or breaking it.
